Statesman Cap10K Announces Partnership with Academy Sports + Outdoors for 2021 Virtual Race

Academy Sports + Outdoors is joining the Statesman Capitol 10,000 as a new race sponsor for the 2021 virtual event. The local retailer is partnering with the local race to provide hundreds of dollars in giveaways to use as prizes for the virtual race finisher and photo contests.

In the interest of the health and safety of race participants and in anticipation of the city of Austin significantly modifying or canceling the large-scale in-person event, the Cap10K announced earlier this month its plans to move the 44th Cap10K race to a virtual format, April 11-30, and offer 10 different routes for participants to run.
