I started running for the sake of running when I was 16, and with the exception of a few injuries over the years, have been at it ever since. Recently, I’ve been focusing on tempo at ~10K distances and want to break into the world of triathlons.

Did you know...

Pumpkin, pecan or apple pie and do you run Thanksgiving Day?

“Pumpkin was my favorite as a kid and has since fallen out of my favor. Also, I prefer pecan at Christmas time (not sure why; maybe the spices?). So I’d say the classic American apple pie for Thanksgiving. I definitely aim to exercise on Thanksgiving Day whether that’s a swim or a run!

What shoe are you currently training in and why did you choose it?

“I’ve been training in the Hoka One One Stinson ATR 5. In 2019-2020, I was dealing with some plantar fasciitis, which I was finally above to overcome by many hours with the foam roller and a more maximalist shoe. Though I split my mile between gravel and pavement, I’ve found this shoe to be a very comfortable trainer; it holds up well under many miles and can eventually be demoted to a casual walker.
