Finish Line Festival

Statesman Capitol 10,000 organizers and participants aren’t the only ones warming up for the approaching spring race. Announcing Matt Wilson Band and Electric Circus to rock the Finish Line Festival this year.

Matt Wilson Band

Matt Wilson is a consummate performing musician. He first gained national exposure wowing sold-out audiences as the “Piano Man” in the First National Tour of the Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp’s Tony-award winning musical “Movin’ Out.” In 2005 the Texas State Senate honored Matt with a resolution for his achievements in the area of Fine Arts. Most recently, Matt was accepted to the 2016 – 2018 Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster. The Matt Wilson Band routinely tours, headlining numerous public, private, and social events of all sizes.

Electric Circus

Vintage circus themed party band, Electric Circus, is coming to your town, playing Top 40, Dance, and Hip-Hop hits as well as a variety of older jams. From 80’s artists like, Run DMC, Billy Idol and The B-52’s and 90’s songs from Whitney Houston, Guns N’ Roses and The Black Crowes to modern music hits from Nelly, Black-Eyed Peas and Pitbull, The EC Band has something for everyone.

Hit after hit after hit… Electric Circus’ energy is contagious.

Audioroad is a melding of five artists each having traveled individual and diverse music roads. The outcome of the new band has proven surprising chemistry, demonstrating that the sum of the parts is what awakens the authentic soul of music. Sasha K.A

Sasha has been writing and performing songs for the last two decades. Sasha hails from Western, MA, but has settled in Austin after completing his MM at UT. Sasha writes honest, relatable songs about love, loss, friendship, sorrow, joy, and the environment. His music comes out of the folk tradition with influences including Wilco, Iron & Wine, Punch Brothers, and Tom Petty, and will most often be found accompanied by a variety of string instruments.

Austin Thaalam Percussion


We are a group of Chenda (South Indian percussion drum) enthusiasts from Austin. We have been learning and performing Chenda melam in Central Texas for more than 3 years. Chenda Melam is performed by a group during major festivals in Kerala, India and the art form is more than 300 years old. Come by and enjoy the entertainment during Cap10K and we will re energize you.

This is the Connally HS Jazz Band’s 17th year to perform at the Capitol 10k. The band is in high demand all around Austin, playing parties and fundraisers. The CHS Jazz Band is under the direction of Mr. Jason Scott Russell & Mr. Marc Telles.

Midnight Archives is an indie/alternative band based in Austin Texas. With lead singer Alexi Hill on bass, Roger Flores on guitar, and Julian Martinez on drums, the band has a range of influences from Amy Winehouse to Led Zeppelin, making for a blend of tons of different genres.
