Statesman Capitol 10,000 organizers and participants aren’t the only ones warming up for the approaching spring race. Performances of two new local bands that will rock the Finish Line Festival will be announced soon.
Tomar & The FCs
In 2015, three decades after his last show with the family band, Tomar returned to his roots as a frontman. Tomar and the FCs debuted during SXSW and released their first EP, “Day by Day”, in October. Deborah Sengupta Stith of the Austin American Statesman selected it as one of her top releases of the year writing, “Williams shows his own soul chops with searing vocals that drip with blood, sweat and tears”.
Rochelle & The Sidewinders
Rochelle & The Sidewinders is group comprised of seasoned veterans of the Austin music scene with the common desire to play the Blues! Focusing on classics by the like of Etta James, Koko Taylor, Buddy Guy with a few bluesy twists on some modern tunes as well! Rochelle is a dynamic and striking presence with a voice that cuts right through to the bone! You will dance, groove and party-don’t miss an opportunity to catch this amazing act live!

Austin Thaalam Percussion
We are a group of Chenda (South Indian percussion drum) enthusiasts from Austin. We have been learning and performing Chenda melam in Central Texas for more than 3 years. Chenda Melam is performed by a group during major festivals in Kerala, India and the art form is more than 300 years old. Come by and enjoy the entertainment during Cap10K and we will re energize you.
Little Green Bunnies
Little Green Bunnies like to entertain you! We’re annual performers of the Cap10k near 12th Street and Winsted Lane. Musical sets include Ray Charles, Doobie Brothers, Joe Walsh, the Beatles, ZZTop, and Queen. Wave at us and sing along during your run!!!
DrumForGOOD! is a small community of hand drummers who love to learn, play and celebrate beautiful and rousing West African rhythms all over town. They donate everything they earn from drumming performances to local nonprofit organizations. Info about drumming classes and performances HERE.
Annie & Kate
Annie & Kate are an acoustic rock duet on the rise! Born and raised in the live music capital of the world of Austin, Texas, the indie rock sisters are multi-instrumentalists and songwriters with an extensive performance history and two original recording projects under their belts. With their signature blend of harmonies, Annie & Kate have been named in the top three under 18 bands by the Austin Music Awards, and are members of both ASCAP and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
