Distance Running is a rhythm.

My tip is about easing into your training and your racing. On a daily basis, whether it is training run, a casual run or a race, allow your body to ease into the effort and stay comfortable as long as you can. Even walk if needed to regain your comfort. Distance Running is a rhythm. If you find your self in misery you will end up running an overall slower time. For every second you start too fast, you will lose 2-4 seconds at the end. The price is high and the pain is real.
